Recruitment evaluation

We are performing a study of how people evaluate applicants for different types of jobs. If you participate in the study, you will be asked to fill in a questionnaire that begins on the next page. The questionnaire will take approximately 10 minutes. It will begin with a set of instructions and then you will be asked to evaluate a number of job applicants in differing positions. After the evaluation, you will be asked questions about yourself (e.g. gender, age and political opinions). It is important that you answer the questions without asking anyone else or showing your answers to someone else.

Participating in the study can give you an idea of how scientific studies can be run. Some participants might feel that it is difficult to evaluate other people, even though the people described in the study are fictional. The questions at the end of the questionnaire can also feel difficult for some people. It is important to remember that we will not ask you for identifying information and we will respect participants’ anonymity.

The results of the study will be published in a scientific journal, together with other studies, and if you are interested in reading the article, you can send an e-mail to Nathalie Hallin (see contact information below).

Your participation in the study is completely voluntary, and you can stop your participation at any point by closing the questionnaire in your web browser. Only completed questionnaire answers will be analyzed, but incomplete answers will be registered (and be visible to researchers working with the study).
